About the society
The Louisiana Dermatological Society advances the practice of dermatology across the state — connecting physicians, protecting patients through advocacy, and sustaining the academic partnerships that train the next generation of Louisiana dermatologists.
Board of directors
President, 2024–2026
A board-certified dermatologist in New Orleans known for cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatology. Tulane-trained with an MPH, active in clinical trials, and recognized by peers as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He practices at MD Claiborne & Associates.
Incoming President, 2027–2029
Board-certified dermatologist practicing in Shreveport since 2006 at Dermatology and Skin Surgery. Completed his residency at LSU Health Sciences Center as chief resident. He lectures on psoriasis, pediatric dermatology, and rare skin conditions, and has served on multiple medical mission trips.
Advocacy Chair
A Covington native who completed her undergraduate degree, medical doctorate, and dermatology residency at LSU. She opened Malinski Dermatology in Lacombe in 2020, offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic skin health services.
Board Member
Dermatologist at Ark-La-Tex Dermatology in Shreveport-Bossier. She graduated summa cum laude from Centenary College, attended LSU Medical School in Shreveport, and completed her dermatology residency at Northwestern University before returning home to practice.
Board Member
Practices at Ochsner Health in Covington. A Baton Rouge native, he earned his medical degree at LSU Shreveport, completed dermatology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic and cosmetic surgery at the California Skin Institute.

Professor of Dermatology at Tulane University School of Medicine, where she joined the faculty in 1990. She trained at Tulane and completed residency at UT Southwestern, Parkland Hospital. Her interests include photobiology, psoriasis, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and graft-versus-host disease.

A Shreveport native and Centenary College graduate who earned his medical degree at LSU Shreveport. He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, then a dermatology residency at LSU New Orleans, serving as chief resident in his final year of each.
Board Member
A board-certified dermatologist in Marrero with more than 18 years of experience and extensive expertise in skin cancer and excision. He graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport School of Medicine in 2006 and is affiliated with West Jefferson Medical Center.
Board Member
Division Chief of Dermatology and Assistant Professor at LSU Health Shreveport. A Monroe native, he completed his medical degree and internal medicine training at LSU Health Shreveport. His focus areas include complex medical dermatology, dermatologic emergencies, and skin cancers.

An Opelousas native who attended LSU Baton Rouge and graduated from medical school in Shreveport in 1981. He completed his dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was named chief resident, before joining practice in Shreveport.
